CryptoYogalogy
Created for a Cryptozoology design challenge at Spoonflower.com. I added extra details of the mythology in the yoga mats and accessories etc:
- The Chupacabra (Down/ward dog pose) is believed to live in parts of the Americas and is said to attack goats in particular.
- Sasquatch (in an Easy or meditative pose here) are reported to throw stones and branches, and live in higher altitude wooded areas particularly in my neighborhood of the Pacific Northwest, USA
- The Lochness Monster/Nessie (Cobra pose) has been reported as swimming in Scottish lakes, situated near hills and mountains in the Inverness area.
- The Mothman (Tree pose) is associated with the Point Pleasant bridge collapse (over a river) in West Virginia, USA.
- Krakens (Warrior 2 pose) are huge squid or octopus-like creatures that live in the oceans and have been reported by scared sailors thorough history, particularly in Norway/ Greenland area.
Chicken Coop
These silly little chickens in their Chicken Coop have somehow become one of my most popular prints – I’ve sold a bunch of tea towels, fabric, cellphone cases, mugs, throw pillows, duvet covers and other things with these designs on. The Christmas version is always popular in the holiday season and I look forward to designing other versions for other holidays. This year I had to do a 2020 version as they were ‘cooped up’ chickens for sure! The original design came in the top 10 for a Spoonflower.com weekly design challenge. It was created firstly as a pencil sketch and then vectorized in Adobe Illustrator.
